Founded in 2023, Happy Quail Wines is the radiant vision of Isaac and Emily Jenkins, a couple whose love for each other and for winemaking has crafted a brand that celebrates both tradition and innovation. Rooted in over 125 years of Jenkins family heritage, Isaac, a fourth-generation vintner, brings multigenerational expertise and an intimate understanding of Sonoma Valley’s unique terroir. Emily, a first-generation immigrant from Australia, raised in South Lake Tahoe with a childhood love of grapes, always dreamed of marrying a grape grower. Her passion for the vine, sparked in her youth, found its perfect match in Isaac, blending her vibrant spirit with his deep-rooted legacy to create something extraordinary.
The story of Happy Quail Wines is a love story as rich as the wines they produce. Isaac and Emily’s journey began nearly a decade ago, their shared passion for wine and each other blossoming amidst the vines. Their bond, sealed at their wedding with the creation of their signature Aleatico Bianca, infuses every bottle with warmth and authenticity. From the historic Glen Oaks Cochran Vineyard in Glen Ellen to their meticulously tended, organic vineyards—each vine over 25 years old—every sip reflects their commitment to quality and the land they cherish.
Happy Quail Wines is a testament to purity and craft. With a focus on vibrant flavors and elegant structure, their wines—like the radiant Pinot Gris rosé and the luminous Aleatico Bianca—burst with the essence of Sonoma’s fruit, untainted by dyes, added sugars, or artificial flavors. Each bottle is a labor of love, born from sustainable practices and hands-on care, ensuring that every glass tells a story of heritage, heart, and innovation.
Raise a glass of Happy Quail Wines and taste the legacy of a family that has poured its soul into Sonoma’s soils since 1894, beginning with Sgt. Charles Henry Joseph Rust in Yountville. Through the Prohibition-era grit of Henry Arvall Jenkins, the winemaking mastery of Clarence A. Jenkins Sr., and the trailblazing viticulture of Clarence A. Jenkins Jr., the Jenkins family has helped shaped Napa and Sonoma’s wine culture. Now, Isaac and Emily carry this torch forward, crafting wines that have earned international acclaim and found their way to the tables of top restaurants and the hearts of wine lovers worldwide.
Cheers to a legacy that spans generations. Cheers to a love that inspires every bottle. Cheers to Happy Quail Wines—where every sip is an invitation to celebrate life’s most joyful moments.

Step into the legacy of Glen Oaks-Cochran Vineyard, a 45-acre organic gem in Sonoma County where centuries of fearless women have crafted a wine story unlike any other! Born as "Glen Ellen" in the 1800s under the pioneering spirit of Ellen Stuart—one of the first women to own and operate a vineyard and winery—this historic estate produced thousands of cases of celebrated wines until the phylloxera epidemic of the 1880s. Fast forward to 2000, when visionary vintner Becky Jenkins, a titan in Sonoma’s grape-growing world, joined forces with Joan Cochran to resurrect this legendary land. Becky, a trailblazer as President of the Sonoma County Grape Growers Association, founder of Sonoma Adopt a Watershed, and Sonoma County’s Business Woman of the Year, has woven her passion into every vine, making Glen Oaks-Cochran a beacon of women’s strength and excellence in winemaking.
Nestled between hillside and valley floor, our organically farmed vineyard—certified since 2013—sprawls across breathtaking landscapes, kissed by the cooling breezes of Stuart Creek Run and enriched by unique Tuscany Clay Loam soils. With east-to-west row orientation, modified quad trellis, and 25-year-old vines grown with balance and precision, our grapes yield award-winning wines bursting with complexity and character. From bold, velvety reds to crisp, vibrant whites, every bottle tells a story of heritage, quality, and sustainability.
